Puszcza Bialowieska (The Bialowieza National Park) is the only primeval forest of its kind in Poland and in Europe and is situated around 200 km north of Warsaw. The plants and animals rule the forest. The most powerful ruler is the bison - the largest European mammal. One of the other main attractions of the region is a narrow-gauge railway, from which you can marvel at the abundance of plants and animals.
The town of Bialowieza - an old Belorussian village with wooden houses is worth visiting. There is a marble Orthodox Church, which features a rare ceramic iconostasis. The Source of Energy, a site with magnetic fields, which have a positive influence on human beings, is located 1 km before Bialowieza. Inside you find the only iconostasis in Poland made of real Chinese porcelain. Another attraction is the 50-hectare English style Palace Park, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Poland.
