The modernization of the public services has constituted a considerable challenge since the beginning of the years 1990.

The restructuration and modernization of the public firms has been completed. Modern social structures are also setting up with in particular the improvement of the functionning of the administration and the social system.

The infrastructures (roads, rail networks, telecommunications) development benefit from many national and European projects, but they remain lower than the western standards, especially in rural areas.
