Polish people have a passion to different outdoor activities in their free time. These are: walking, cycling, fishing, canoeing, hunting and riding. Walkers have much to enjoy, especially in the Tatra mountains. Paths and routes are well marked, accommodation is cheap and the maps are good! International cycling routes, touring in national parks and mountain biking are but a few attractions, and bicycle rental is available everywhere. Fishing in Poland is inexpensive and its rivers have many different varieties of fish including Bulltrout. The Mazurian Lake District is a veritable paradise for anglers. Pike bream, tench, carp, eels, pike-perch, crucian carp and many other varieties are just waiting!

Canoeing

Poland’s rivers and lakes offer canoeing trails for beginners and experts alike. The longest in Europe can be found at the Great Masurian Lakes. It is 109 km long, goes through dense forests and it takes 7-10 days.

Hunting

Poland has 2,5 million hectares of hunting ground including the largest area of virgin forests in Europe. A wide variety of game is available including elk and wild boar.

Riding

Poles have had an emotional attachment to horses for centuries. Today their stud farms enjoy international recognition. Novice riders can receive tuition from experts while the more advanced ones can learn from champion showjumpers.
