Restaurant

Poland has a multitude of restaurants, bars and inns serving national dishes and regional specialities. The Polish restaurants are characteristic for their originality, typical architecture and decorations. Moreover, one can find in large cities numbers restaurants serving all types of foreign cuisines. The most popular are Chinese or Vietnamese restaurants, but you may find also Italian, Greek, Hungarian, French, or even Jewish, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish or Arabic restaurant. 

Food prices in Poland are lower than in Western Europe, both for products sold in shops and for meals at restaurants. Dinners at quality restaurants cost about 50-100 zl (€12-25) and more. In an average pizzeria you will usually spend not more than 20-25 zl per person. Still, it is necessary to check the prices before you choose the restaurant. 

Tips are not included in the bills and can rise up to 10 % of the amount for a good service. In addition, the toilets are generally paying, just as the cloakrooms.

Polish food typically consists of meat and potatoes. Naturally, in restaurants, a selection of other garnishes is offered. Many salad bars and vegetarian restaurants are being opened.
