Polish alphabet
The latin alphabet was adopted to write Polish with the christianization
of the country in the Xth century. The language was for the
first time codified about 1440 with the composition in Latin
of a treaty of the Polish orthography. Written by Samuel Bogumil
Linde between 1807 - 1814, the first Polish language dictionary
described 60 000 words.
